Hardscape Foreman

Key Responsibilities

• Lead and manage hardscape crews on job sites, ensuring projects are completed on time, within budget, and to spec.
• Direct installation of paver patios, retaining walls, fire features, outdoor kitchens, pergolas, and other landscape elements.
• Read and interpret project plans; translate them into daily tasks for crew members.
• Maintain job site safety standards and communicate daily with the project manager.
• Train, mentor, and hold crew members accountable for quality workmanship and professional conduct.
• Operate heavy equipment, trucks, and trailers; perform basic maintenance and recognize when repairs are needed.
• Complete daily production reports using the company app.

Required Qualifications

• 5+ years of hands-on hardscape installation experience.
• 2+ years in a foreman or lead crew supervisor role.
• Must live within 40 minutes of Sioux Falls, SD.
• Clean, valid driver's license with an acceptable driving record.
• Strong leadership, communication, and problem-solving skills.
• Reliable, punctual, and committed to quality and professionalism on every job.
• Ability to perform physically demanding outdoor work in varying conditions.
• Smoking is not permitted in company vehicles, on company premises, or at customer job sites.

Preferred Qualifications

• Experience with open-graded base systems, natural stone, or specialty hardscape.
• Familiarity with stormwater management and drainage principles.
• Prior experience managing multiple crews or job sites simultaneously.
• Willingness to pursue continuing education in the industry.

Crew Member

Tierra Design is looking for a dependable crew member who takes pride in outdoor work, shows up ready to learn, and wants to help build high-quality landscapes and outdoor living spaces in the Sioux Falls area.

What You'll Do

• Help build and maintain high-quality outdoor spaces — landscapes, patios, planting areas, lighting, water features, and outdoor living projects.
• Work outside with a crew and follow direction from project leadership.
• Load, stage, move, and organize materials, tools, and equipment safely.
• Keep job sites clean, professional, and respectful of the homeowner's property.
• Learn Tierra Design's standards for detail, craftsmanship, and client experience.
